Q: What are Natural Perfumes?
A: Natural perfuming is the art of blending natural oils, resins, absolutes and concretes to create a synergy of fragrance. We liken it to beautiful painting, wherein we achieve the perfect blend of top, heart and base "notes" (much like an artist uses his palette) to create a fulfilling olfactory experience.
Q: What does Tsi~La mean?
A: Tsila, pronounced (chee-la), is the abridged version of the word “atsilvsgi”, which translates to the word “flower” in Cherokee.
Q: Why is natural perfuming a better choice?
A: Natural perfuming is an art in itself. The use of naturals is an opportunity to capture the true essence of fragrant florals, sweet fruits, exotic grasses, rare woods and aromatic spices. In fact, many of today’s synthetic perfumes use natural oils to soften the harsh sense of synthetics usually between 3%-8% naturals. With our natural blends, on application you will smell our “top notes” (like citrus), whereas later that day a “heart note” (like florals) may be more evident, followed by the “base notes” (like vetiver) in the evening. The warmth and chemistry of the body enhance these exclusive fragrances to complement your own true organic sensuality.
Q: Why is natural perfume more expensive?
A: Natural perfume is more expensive because costs associated with perfuming are based on crop yields. Things like weather, harvest and the “yield” from a given plant drive the costs of production up or down.
Q: Why does my Tsi-La perfume smell different on me than on my friend?
A: Tsi-La perfumes vary because our blends evolve with your unique body chemistry. On one person, “high notes” may be evident, on another person “base notes”. This is just the natural progression of the scent and part of the fun of wearing our products.
Q: Does Tsi-La test on animals?
A: None of our products have been tested on animals. Quality control and human volunteers are used to ensure that we maintain the highest quality products.
Q: Are your products Vegan friendly?
A: Tsi-La does not use animal by-products in our perfumes and body treatments. However, we do use a very small percentage of natural beeswax in all of our waxed-based products.
